How to read the counts
Tableline reads EDHREC's public commander file and Scryfall's card text. It is not the EDHREC website. On the commanders published here, salt runs from 0.24 (Breya, Etherium Shaper) to 2.81 (Vivi Ornitier).
- Rank
- Place in the past-two-years file. Rank 1 has the most decks.
- Decks
- Published lists that use that card as the commander.
- Inclusion
- The share of those lists that also play a given card. 76% means 76 of every 100 lists.
- Salt
- EDHREC's average of player votes on how frustrating a commander feels. Higher is saltier. A missing score is left off the page.
Commander decks
An EDHREC commander deck is a 100-card list. The file also stores the average mix of lands, creatures, and spells.
Magic: The Gathering
EDH is the old name for Commander. EDHREC is the deck database players open when they build inside that format.
Questions
- What is EDHREC?
- EDHREC is a Commander deck database. It counts how often each card shows up in published decks for a commander, then ranks commanders by how many of those decks it has on file.
- What does EDHREC commanders mean?
- It is the set of legendary creatures, and a few planeswalkers, that players use as commanders. EDHREC sorts that set by deck count.
- How current are these deck counts?
- Ranks and deck totals here come from EDHREC's past-two-years file, last modified 1 Oct 2026. Each commander page links to the live EDHREC list.
- Is Tableline the same site as EDHREC?
- No. Tableline is an independent guide. It cites EDHREC's public commander file and Scryfall's card text, then links back to both.
